All About Hajj

Hajj is an Arabic word that means pilgrimage in English. It is an annual Islamic pilgrimage to Mecca, Saudi Arabia, which is known as the holiest city for Muslims. Hajj is their religious duty for the followers of Islam that must be carried out once in their life. The tradition of Hajj dates from thousands of years earlier; according to Islam, this started when God commanded Abraham to build the Kaaba, also known as the house of God.

Kaaba is a cubic-shaped building that is considered the holiest site among Muslims. The Hajj is to walk repeatedly around the Kaaba.  There are committees all over the world that decide and keep records of going for Hajj every year. Some organizations make packages for Hajj.
